Inicio 00:05 T, before the class begins make sure you distribute all letters in the corresponding mail boxes. T say hello as you do following your regular routine.

Desarrollo 00:40 T, have Ss check their mailboxes and open their letters. Give them time to read them. 10’ Ask them to stand up and find as many persons as possible with the same news and comments in their letters as they got. 10’ All Ss sit down. Divide the group in teams. Have them exchange comments about their experience. 5’ Ask them if they got many or just some news. Give Ss the quantifiers worksheet to solve.5’ Link in the “recursos” column. T, tell Ss the whole group is going to write letters with different types of invitations. T, have pieces of paper cut out with the following information, one sentence each:  A BD party  A school graduation  A business opening  A Potluck dinner party  A wedding  A concert to benefit schools in your neighborhood  A private auction  A public movie showing  A party honoring cancer survivors  A formal sit down dinner Ss work in pairs to write their letter. Ss come to you and choose one piece of paper. Ss write their letter on their chosen theme. Ss decide if they want to make the events formal or informal whenever possible. Ss decide if gifts are accepted, required or will not be accepted. 5’ T, go to the Job Bank USA and print the page with the information about; Extending Invitations to Events Guidelines and Alternate Phrases Give Ss a copy. Ss open their paper and talk among themselves to draft their letter. 5’ Quantifiers

Desarrollo 00:40 T, have Ss finish writing and illustrating their letters using the printed paper you gave them from last session. 10’ After finishing their letters Ss read them to the rest of the class. 10’ Tell Ss they’ll have a little get together during the last session. This will be a Potluck and everybody has to bring something. 5’ Working in pairs Ss have to write the invitations for each other. Place them in envelopes and send them by classroom mail. All Ss have the information to do so by now. Give 10’ Show Quantifiers Food Video as preparation for the party goods. Ss start their get together. Free conversation. 15’ Ss write a letter to a family member they want to share their party experience with. Make sure all the information is there: • Name of the sender • Name of the receiver • Date • Addresses • Greeting Etc Place letter in an envelope. It is very important that the correct addresses of the family member and the sender are written on the envelope with clear and understandable letter. 15’ Place the stamp in the correct corner. Take home and mail.
