Desarrollo 00:40 T, ask Ss to write the four questions from the cards on a piece of paper and remembering the information collected during the previous sessions respond them to the best of their ability. 10’ Check the answers. The S with the higher number of correct answers wins. 5’ Show on the computer, projected on a wall screen or with a printed sample, the “Winter Sports: practice eeading a bar graph”worksheet . Talk to the Ss about the bar graph and let them read it. T, point at the number of people on the side of the graph, and the names of the sports on the bottom. Point at the fact that there are different colors for all the bars. The bars are of different sizes since they represent the number of people. T, have Ss answer the questions on the Graph. All of these steps from the moment you show the Graph should not take more than 15’ T, since you’ve kept the worksheets since the previous sessions, you should have a very good idea of the number of bars the graph needs. You can create a graph as a sample. Link in the “recursos” column. During the last 10’ of this session allow Ss to play with a computer game which is related to the creation of graphs. Remind them the information is about hobbies and sports. T, choose about six hobbies and sports to represent on the graph. Give a blank graph paper sheet to your Ss. Link in the “recursos” column. They will write all the names of the hobbies and sports and the number of people. They can color the bars in full and finish it during this session. 20’ When Ss finish their graph, have them illustrate the paper graph with the Data Handling game in the computer. 5’ T, be ready to print this game. 10’ Data Handling games for kids7 to 11years.

T, you’ll need to calculate the amount of yellow foam you’ll need to create little happy faces to illustrate the number of Ss who like each one of the hobbies, and sports studied in our past sessions. The group will create a Bar Graph poster to be shown in class and then shown in other place of the school.

Desarrollo 00:40 T, start by playing a fishing computer game. 10’ T, use the rest of the time in this session to: Divide the group in teams. Give the Ss a sport or hobby to illustrate. Each team will cut the necessary number of faces; draw eyes and smile using a black permanent marker and glue on the corresponding place. T, if you know your Ss don’t have the ability to cut fast, please have the faces cut out and give them to Ss to draw faces. Ss, will draw with a permanent marker the lines of the graphic already pencil drawn on the poster paper the T will provide. Each team will write the name of the sport or hobby and will glue the faces on the poster.
