Session 1: Introduction to the topic and setting learning goals
Objective: Students will recognize and use guidelines that regulate oral exchanges, such as taking turns to speak, paying attention, adjusting volume, using polite phrases, maintaining interest, and asking questions.



  • Start the class by engaging students in a discussion about communication and the importance of dialogue in different situations.

  • Introduce the topic of "Dialogue for decision-making and exchange of viewpoints" and explain its relevance in various aspects of life.

  • Show examples of effective communication through videos or role plays.

  • Discuss the difficulties students face when communicating in another language and how this affects their ability to engage in dialogues.

  • Set the learning goals for the unit and explain the PDA.


Session 2: Understanding the principles of effective dialogue
Objective: Students will understand the principles that govern effective dialogue.
