Class Planning: The Use of English in Constructing Messages in Favor of Inclusion


Objective (PDA): Students will investigate various English sources to identify the characteristics of messages that promote interaction, awareness, and empathy towards diversity. They will then express their own point of view.

Session 1:
Phase 1 - Introduction (10 minutes)



  • Begin the class by discussing the importance of inclusive language and the impact it can have on promoting empathy and understanding.

  • Introduce the topic of using English to construct messages that support inclusion and diversity.

  • Discuss the problem of the lack of English information on healthy habits for personal and others' wellbeing.


Phase 2 - Development (30 minutes)



  • Engage students in a brainstorming activity to identify various English sources where they can find information on messages that promote interaction, awareness, and empathy towards diversity.

  • Provide guidance on how to conduct effective research in English, including strategies for finding reliable sources.

  • Assign students the task of independently researching and collecting examples of messages that promote inclusion in English, focusing on health-related topics.


Phase 3 - Closure (10 minutes)



  • In small groups, students will share their findings and discuss the characteristics of the messages they collected.

  • Facilitate a class discussion on the importance of using inclusive language in promoting wellness and empathy towards diversity.
