Title: Valoración de la biodiversidad: La pérdida de la biodiversidad en el territorio local, nacional y global

Objetive: Comprehend the biodiversity on Earth, its system of relationships and global interdependence.

Methodology: Problem-Based Learning

Session 1: Introducing Biodiversity (45 minutes)

Objective: Understand the concept of biodiversity and its importance

  1. Warm-up activity (10 minutes):

    • Display images of different species and ecosystems.

    • Ask students to identify the organisms and environments depicted.

    • Facilitate a class discussion on the importance of biodiversity.

  2. Problem statement (10 minutes):

    • Present the problem: "Our local area is facing a significant loss of biodiversity. How can we raise awareness and take action to protect it?"

    • Engage students in a brainstorming session to gather ideas and prior knowledge about biodiversity.

  3. Research and inquiry (20 minutes):

    • Divide students into small groups and assign each group a specific topic related to biodiversity (e.g., endangered species, deforestation, pollution).

    • Provide resources (books, articles, websites) for students to conduct research on their assigned topic.

    • Instruct students to gather information and prepare a brief presentation for the next session.

Session 2: Analyzing the Problem (45 minutes)

Objective: Analyze the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss

  1. Recap and presentations (15 minutes):

    • Review the concepts covered in the previous session.

    • Allow each group to present their findings and share their insights with the class.

  2. Discussion and reflection (20 minutes):

    • Facilitate a class discussion on the causes and
