Title: Understanding the Factors that Influence Technical Processes


Grade level: 1st year of Secondary School


Subject: Technology


Objective: Understand the satisfaction of needs as the basis for technical creation and innovation to reflect on the influence of interests, prejudices, stereotypes, and aspirations that favor or limit equal opportunities in the development of technical processes.


Methodology: Service Learning


Interdisciplinary Approach: Addressing the Problem of Urban Vandalism


Session 1:


Phase 1: Introduction (10 minutes)



  • Welcome the students and introduce the topic of the lesson: factors that influence technical processes.

  • Ask the students to share their thoughts on what they believe influences the development of technical processes.

  • Use a brainstorming activity to generate ideas and create a mind map on the board.


Phase 2: Development (30 minutes)



  • Divide the students into small groups and provide them with materials to create posters on different factors that influence technical processes (interests, prejudices, stereotypes, aspirations).

  • Instruct the students to research and discuss how these factors can either favor or limit equal opportunities in the development of technical processes.

  • Encourage the students to come up with real-life examples to support their posters.


Phase 3: Closure (10 minutes)



  • Have each group present their posters and explain their findings to the class.

  • Facilitate a class discussion to reflect on the influence of these factors on the development of technical processes.

  • Summarize the main points discussed and provide a preview of the next session.
