Plan de clase

Session 1:


Objective: Students will be able to identify the elements of an argumentative text and understand the importance of respectful communication.


Warm-up activity (10 minutes):



  • Begin the class by playing a game of "hot seat" where students take turns sitting in the hot seat and answering questions about themselves.

  • After each student answers a question, the rest of the class should practice active listening and respond with positive comments or questions.


Introduction to argumentative texts (10 minutes):



  • Introduce the concept of argumentative texts and explain that they are used to express opinions and support them with evidence.

  • Show examples of argumentative texts and discuss the elements that make them effective (e.g., clear thesis statement, supporting arguments, use of relevant evidence).

  • Emphasize the importance of respectful communication and the use of appropriate language when expressing opinions.


Activity: Identifying arguments (15 minutes):



  • Provide students with a short text and ask them to identify the arguments presented.

  • In small groups, students should discuss their findings and come up with a list of arguments they identified.

  • As a class, discuss the different arguments and their effectiveness.


Wrap-up activity: Reflection (10 minutes):



  • Have students reflect on the importance of respectful communication and the role it plays in argumentative texts.

  • Ask students to write a short paragraph discussing how they can incorporate respectful communication in their own argumentative writing.


Session 2:


Objective: Students will be able to organize and structure their ideas when writing an argumentative text.
