Grade: Secondary 1st
Methodology: Community Project
Interdisciplinary approach: Addressing the problem of students not expressing their emotions assertively
Duration: 5 sessions of 50 minutes each


Session 1:


Phase 1: Introduction



  • Warm-up activity: Teacher presents pictures of various emotions and asks students to identify and express the corresponding emotion in English.

  • Discussion: Teacher initiates a discussion on the importance of expressing emotions assertively and the consequences of not doing so.


Phase 2: Development



  • Vocabulary building: Teacher introduces vocabulary related to emotions, sensations, and feelings.

  • Group work: Students work in groups to create short dialogues or skits expressing different emotions.

  • Presentations: Each group presents their dialogue or skit to the class.


Phase 3: Closure



  • Reflection: Students reflect on the importance of expressing emotions and share their thoughts with the class.

  • Homework: Students are assigned the task of writing a short paragraph expressing their own emotions and sensations.


Session 2:
