SESSION 1: INTRODUCTION TO MOTOR SKILLS
Objective: To introduce the concept of motor skills and their importance in daily life.
- Warm-up: Begin the session with a fun warm-up activity such as a group dance or a game that involves moving around the classroom.
- Discussion: Engage the students in a discussion about different motor skills and their significance. Talk about the importance of balance, spatial-temporal orientation, and coordination in various activities.
- Demonstration: Show the students different actions and movements that require these motor skills, such as walking on a balance beam, throwing and catching a ball, or hopping on one leg. Encourage the students to try these actions themselves.
- Group activity: Divide the students into small groups and provide them with different materials and equipment, such as balance boards, balls, or cones. Ask them to come up with their own activities that involve balance, spatial-temporal orientation, and coordination. Give them the freedom to be creative and express themselves through their movements.
- Reflection: After the group activity, have a discussion with the whole class to reflect on their experiences. Ask them how they felt while performing the actions and what they learned about themselves.
SESSION 2: INTEGRATING MOTOR SKILLS INTO DAILY LIFE
Objective: To explore how motor skills can be used in everyday situations and improve self-awareness.
- Warm-up: Begin the session with a short warm-up activity to get the students energized and ready for the lesson.
- Discussion: Start a conversation about different daily activities that require motor skills, such as tying shoelaces, brushing teeth, or riding a bike.
