Reading activity for students to describe enigmas
Sugerencia de uso
1. Use the beam projector to show the activity or if you register on isl.collective.com, you may print the activity. This is the second part of the activity students started in the last session. There are 2 pages to print or show.
2. Show the images first and ask them to describe them.
3. Tell students they are going to work in pairs and write a mystery story using the narrative tenses (past simple, past continuous, and past perfect.
4. Read the first picture “Everyone avoided the big old mansion. It was believed to have…” and work the rest of the sentence with the class.
5. Tell students they use the prompt and complete the story.
6. Monitor and offer help as needed.
7. Invite pairs of students to read their stories to another pair.
8. Ask some pairs of students to read their stories to the class and compare how different they were and discuss the end.
