HARRY POTTER SUMMARY

Activity to make a script for a comic strip

1. Show the Harry Potter proposed page and display the Summary section. It is a resumed text of the first book of this saga: Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone. 

2. Each team will take one of the paragraphs of the text to do the following:

• Read it by turns

• Search for the unknown words to understand it completely.

• Divide the paragraph in sentences that you can represent in one frame of the comic. 

• Number the sentences

3.  Write a ten lines summary of a similar story you will develop in a comic format. It must have three structural elements: beginning, development and end. Give it to the teacher for a review. This text will be the script of the comic.

4. Decide the format of the strip. For example, if your script is 6 to 8 lines, you can use a two-row strip, with three or four panels in each row. If you will use a comic creator program, make sure that you know how to use it.
