2. Show the first-page ' HUMAN RIGHTS' and discuss with students what those are and how important it is to be aware of them.

3. Read each one of the rights and help with vocabulary as needed.

4. Ask students to match the 'human right' to their corresponding page.

5. Ask students to give examples to illustrate each one of the human rights enlisted. Encourage students to think about specific cases and try to relate them to their reality.

6. Ask students to present their examples to the class and invite students to give their opinions and share those examples to make their lists bigger.

7. Depending on the type of examples given, choose the ones more mentioned and have a class discussion.

8. Read the text with students and make pauses after each paragraph for them to take notes and focus on the main ideas. 

9. Take some time to emphasize the words 'freedom from", "right to" and "to" in the body of the text.

10. Ask students to sum up the text by giving you complete ideas (sentence structure).

11. Show the last section and ask students to answer the comprehension questions.

2. Review the importance of Human Rights and elicit from students what they represent in societies.

3. Review what a mind map is and how much they can help when recording and presenting information on a topic. Show some examples if possible.

4.Ask students to work in pairs and plan a mind map to represent Human Rights. Recommend students to think of the type of information to include, colors, drawing , etc.

5. Monitor the activity and offer some suggestions if necessary.

6. Invite pairs of students to exchange their mind maps with other pairs ad read them as well.

7. Distribute the worksheet and draw students' attention towards the words at the bottom of the page and review them.

8. Ask students to classify them under different groups i.e., actions (verbs), nouns, feeling, etc.

9. Ask students to search the words but set a time limit.

10. When time is up, check how many more words students need to find and ask them to get in pairs to complete the activity.

11. Ask students to give you some sentences using the human rights vocabulary

3. Start with the vocabulary section, ask students to write in their notebooks the answers to the activity. They need to complete the human rights in the organizer.

4.  Show the text and ask students to read and complete with the words in the box. Help as needed and encourage students to participate. When they are finished, discuss the paragraph with the students and ask them what they think about those situations.

5. Show the second page and ask students to answer sections 1 and 2  in pairs.

6 .Check the answers with the class.

8. Ask students if they know anybody who is handicapped and how society treats them.
