1. Download the files suggested in the MED section and make copies for students.

2. Students are going to work with some good tips about reading aloud. When working with dramatized reading, projecting emotions in your voice is vital to get the expected effect.

3. Discuss the importance of the voice for a narrator, of actors, actresses, etc.

4. Distribute the worksheet and read with students the paragraph.

5. Ask students to work on this personal activity and complete the sentences with expressions about how they express themselves under those situations.

7. Ask students to get in groups of three and read their answers, talk about them, and get to know each other in a different way.

8. Ask students to choose a fragment of the plays in their textbooks and read them aloud in their groups to practice and get feedback from their classmates.

3. Write a couple of sentences for students to read aloud, make sure your sentences have ellipsis, commas, question marks, exclamation points.

4. Distribute the worksheet and ask students to read the paragraph about ‘fluency’.

5. This exercise has 100 words and students are going to read it several times to gain practice in fluency.

6. Ask students to read the paragraph aloud and not to worry about reading quickly or not, just have contact with the text.

7. Ask some students to volunteer and do the activity in front of the class to model.

8. Set the timer for one minute and have the volunteers start reading. When the timer goes off, ask students to mark the last word they read.

9. The time is recorded in the chart.

10. Ask students to time their classmates and then swap roles.

11.  Have students read three times and then discuss their times and how different they were.

3. Ask students if they remember the story of “The Three Little Pigs”, then, ask them to summarize it.
