1. Have the beam projector ready to show the activity suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section.

2. Review what a classified ad is and what a classified website is.

3. Tell students they are going to read an ad from a classified website.

4. Show the ad and ask students what a Nintendo Wii is. Pretend you don’t know.

5. Ask students to read the ad and help with vocabulary.

6. Write on the board, WHAT  / HOW MUCH / WHERE / HOW / and tell students to write down under each heading pieces of information (not sentences) that correspond to them (a Nintendo console /the price / Canada etc.

7. Offer help as needed and invite volunteers to share their information with the class, did everybody write the same?

8. Use a piece of information to write a question using WHAT and HOW to show students what the question looks like.

9. Tell students they are going to review the WH_ question form. They have been writing questions about the ads using WH_ words so this exercise is some sort of quiz. You can use the examples done in the previous section of the session to introduce the grammar exercise.

10. Draw students’ attention towards the boxes and ask them to read the information to make sure they know what ‘pieces’ to use  when making questions

11. Ask students to work in pairs and answer and discuss their questions.

12. Invite students to check their answers with another group and make corrections as needed.

1. Download the file suggested in the “Materiales Educativos Digitales” section and make copies for students.

2. Have the beam projector ready to show students the activity.

3. Write on the board these numbers, 34, 58, 72, 90, 120, 149, and ask students to say the numbers by spelling them, t-h-i-r-t-y—f-o-u-r.

4. Tell students they are going to practice numbers since they have been using them in previous sessions while working with classified ads.

5. Ask students to remember what pieces of information are given using numbers (dates, prices, # of items, quantity).

6. Think of 20 numbers to dictate to students and have them circle them on the worksheet.

7. Check answers with the class and invite students to repeat the activity but using 6 numbers in pairs.

8. Invite some volunteers to come to the board and have the class to dictate a number for them to write and spell out.

9. Present dollhouse, wooden, inches, endless, etc., the basic words to work with the ad.

10. Read the ad with students and make sure they understand the description of the dollhouse.

 Since this is an ad taken from a webpage, students can only see the description but not the contact information. Ask students to work in pairs and complete the ad by writing  the following information, CONTACT (a name, phone number, day and time to see it, where to see it etc.)

11. Monitor and offer help as needed.

12. Invite pairs of students to compare their information with another pair of students and then share with the rest of the class.
