1. Have the beam projector ready to show the video suggested in the MED section and download the file to make copies of the activity as well.

2. Project the title and ask students what the song is going to be about.

3. Ask students "What makes a good friend?" and discuss answers with them.

4. Play the song and invite students to sing the chorus only and pay attention to the lyrics of the song to sing it later.

5. Write on the board, "A good friend is______." and ask students to complete the line with original information.

6. Play the song again and invite students to join in singing.

7. Ask students the question, "What makes a good friend?" and invite them to use the vocabulary seen in the song (some of the verbs, expressions, adjectives )

8. Tell students that now they are going to practice with some information about poems and songs.

9. Distribute the worksheet and ask students to find the words, 'stanza' and 'verses' and circle them.

10. Read the information about what those are and discuss it with students. Present a couple of examples and ask students to give some more.

11. Ask students to practice writing some verses about themselves. Encourage them to be original and feel free to write about anything about themselves following the pattern.

12. Invite students to read their stanzas to the class.

1. Have the beam projector ready to show the video of the song suggested in the MED section and download the file to make copies of the 'stanza' activity for students.

2. Project the title the song "Going Green" and ask students what they think it is about. Then, tell them it is the title.

3. Help with extending those ideas and mention that  "Going Gren" is a common expression to say that you are into recycling and helping the planet, that you want the planet to be as green as possible again by reusing and recycling.

4. Ask comprehension questions and invite students to write down the lyrics in their notebooks so they can write one more stanza to it.

5. Play the song again and invite students to join in singing.

6. Challenge students by asking them what actions can help to 'go green'.

7. Play the song one more time but without sound and see if they remember the rhythm or improvise one.

8. Ask students to read what a stanza is and help clarify the concept by giving a short explanation and help with some other examples-

10. Ask students to think of a title for their poems and have some volunteers share their ideas.

13. Ask students to exchange their poems with other students and talk about them.

4. Invite students to clap to the rhythm.

5. Discuss with students the song and help with vocabulary as needed.

6. Play the song again and make pauses to discuss with students some of the lines. You may take this opportunity to dictate the stanzas for them to follow and sing.

7. Invite students to join in singing and make some moves to go with the song.
