Ask students how many different ways of asking for something they know. Elicit ‘Can I borrow____? And ‘May I borrow___?’ and what the difference between them is. 3. Ask some volunteers to ask questions using these forms and invite other students to answer. |

Desarrollo | 00:25 | 4. Tell students they are going to practice another form of asking for something, ‘Would like’. 5. Distribute the worksheet and draw students’ attention towards the boxes that show examples of ‘would like’ + noun / +verb until they notice that this is a ‘different’ way to say ‘want’. 6. Ask students to complete the sentences with these forms. Monitor and offer help as needed. 7. Invite students to check their answers in pairs and the, invite them to share their answers for other pairs to reconfirm answers. 8. Have some volunteers to read aloud the mini-dialogues 2,8,10,12. |

Play the song and ask students to sing by reading the lyrics on the screen. 12. Drive students to notice the pattern ‘Would you like to eat____?’ and ask them how they can use it with different types of food, or if they remove ‘to’ they are asking if somebody wants something or not in a very polite way. 13. Invite students to sing along and clap to the beat but this time without the music so students can follow the beat and sing. |
