1. Visit the suggested Web site in the “Recursos” section and have the “Human Digestive System” explanation ready to show to students 2. Tell students that for the following three sessions, they will work in the development of a project called “Charts of Human Body Systems” and ask them to get together with their teams.

4. Ask some volunteers to tell you what they know about the digestive system. 5. Project the explanation of the “Human Digestive System” on the board for every student to read using the projector. 6. Have volunteers read paragraphs of the reading and stop to clarify any vocabulary doubts. 7. Once the reading is over, show students the glossary section and ask them to copy the words and their meanings in their notebooks. Remind them that since they are working in teams, they can divide the number of words they have to write.

8. Have students work for the last 30 minutes in class organizing themselves and deciding on the Body System they will present at the end. Walk around and help them if necessary.

Evaluación Assess students’ oral and written expression levels: • Students are able to communicate with their classmates in a clear and fluent way and decide on a topic for their project. • Students are able to agree on a topic and its design to present their work. • Students have enough vocabulary that allows them to build complete and meaningful sentences and speech.

1. Download the “Body Systems Worksheet” presentation suggested in the “Recursos” section and make photocopies of the blank handout pages, one set per team. 2. Tell students about the importance of learning about each and every function of the body systems.

3. Project the “Body Systems Worksheet” presentation and show students slides 3 and 4 and explain each column. Tell students that after all the presentations they have to complete the columns with the information provided by their classmates. 4. Give away the photocopies of the “Body Systems Worksheet” to the team leaders and ask them to bring it the day of the presentations.
