1. Before Ss enter the classroom, T leaves a note in a post-it with a task to be completed on each of the Ss desks.  The tasks should be something they can do inside the room. Every S should have a different task but it is important that every note has the same structure. When the Ss enter the room T says hello. T asks the Ss to check their notes.

2. T gives Ss time to read the notes silently. When they have finished, T asks them to read the notes aloud, one at a time. T verifies the pronunciation and makes sure that every student understands the task at hand. T asks the Ss to perform what is asked in the note. T makes sure that Ss do what their notes asked for. When a student finishes, she/he places the post-it on the board. The T gives a simple reward (like five extra minutes of recess) to the three or four fastest performers. If a child doesn't do the exact actions, the T verifies if she/he understands the note.

3. T asks Ss if they have experienced difficulties in following the instructions on the note. T asks the students to pick up their notes and bring them to the following class.

Evaluación • T checks if Ss understand the purpose of the note. • T checks if Ss were able to extract the basic information of the note. • T verifies if the Ss were able to perform the task.

2. T explains that a note is a written message from one person (or group of persons) to another. It is a short letter, containing a few but enough information on a particular subject. A note gives a simple message to the recipient. T writes an example of a note on the board. It should contain the following: • Heading: Date/time and place of the note. • Greeting: Is the salutation and usually starts with the word “Dear” followed by the name of the note recipient. •Body: It’s the written text that contains the main information of the note. • Closing: Includes the final greetings. •Signature: The name of the person who wrote the note. The note should have the same structure than the one the T gave the Ss the previous class. In the “recursos” section there is an image that shows the basic structure of a note. T can project it at the front of the class. T asks the Ss to identify each part in their own notes and color them with a different color. T explains that a note and a letter have the same structure and Ss listen to the song “Parts of a letter”. 3. Organized in pairs, Ss write an informal note, based on the model they saw. Ss must determine if they will write an informative message, if they will ask for some task(s) to be performed, or if they will congratulate a friend, or ask some question, etcetera. Ss must write appropriate greetings, a farewell and use courtesy expressions. Some Ss read their notes to the class.

4. T explains to the Ss that it is important to be able to express the thoughts clearly, and for that, they need to know English words. So, they will practice vocabulary playing “I spy”with their tablets. The link is in the “recursos” column. After 15 minutes playing, T and Ss say goodbye.
