Desarrollo | 00:40 | 2. T tells the Ss that today they will practice spelling, then divides the group into teams of 3 or 4 Ss. Project the Hangman game on the screen and start with team A. If they fail, move on to team B and keep going until every team has participated several times. It is important that you give a time limit to the Ss per participation to keep the class active and dynamic. The team that has the most points at the end of the game wins. After each verb is revealed ask a member of the playing team to go to the board and write it using the gerund. Then spell the verb with the whole class. If the Ss don’t know the meaning of a verb the T should explain it. |

Cierre | 00:15 | 3. Ss watch the video “What is he/she doing?” and write the lyrics of the song. The link is in the “recursos” section. The T finishes the class by awarding the Hangman winners and saying goodbye to the Ss. |

Desarrollo | 00:30 | 2. T tells the Ss that they will be acting again today. T divides the Ss into two teams, and reminds them the rules for the game of Charades. A S from team 1 passes to the front and takes a piece of paper from the bunch and reads silently with the T the action. The Ss then acts the action for his classmates. T allots time according to the size of the group. Once a Ss guesses the action correctly pass them to the board to write the verb in the gerund. If the Ss don’t guess then the S acting writes it down. Whether the Ss guess the activity or not at the end of the time ask the Ss if they remember who did it and then check pronunciation by repeating the verb. |

Desarrollo | 00:40 | 2. T divides the group into four teams and pairs them up. Then T distributes the flashcards evenly amongst the teams. After every team has a set of flashcards the teams play hangman against the team they are paired up. After both teams have guessed an action shift the pairings of the groups and repeat the activity. Continue doing this until every team has played against every otrher team and keep scores. Depending on the time you have left you can organize a grand final with the teams that have the most points. In case thatmore than two teams have a lot of points you can organize a multiple competition with several teams. |
