Desarrollo | 00:30 | 2. T asks the Ss if they know the correct spelling of the words. T calls some Ss to write the name of the item or items below the picture in front of the class. T leaves the words on the board without correcting any errors at this point. T shows a chart of the rules of pluralization of nouns and gives a copy to each S. Then divide the Ss into teams and tells them there will be a spelling bee contest. T selects one member of team 1 and shows a flashcard (they can be taken from the link suggested). The S tries to spell it in plural, if she/he makes a mistake the turn goes to the next team. The Ss are allowed to look at the reference sheet (“Pluralization grammar worksheet”). The team that scores the most points is the winner. |

Desarrollo | 00:30 | 2. T tells the Ss that today they will practice the rules from last class but without checking the chart. T divides the Ss into teams and sits them together. Ss take out their tablets and go to the link on the “recursos” section. This is a timed activity. Each team tries to finish the game, Ss are allowed to discuss the possible answers but not to check the chart or other references. T walks around the room checking interaction and verifying that Ss do not cheat. After the time is up or every team has finished the exercise the T checks the score for every team. We recommend about 5 minutes for each round. After the Ss finish the first round rearrange the teams and repeat the activity two more times. |

Desarrollo | 00:35 | 2. T divides the class into teams. Then the T asks the Ss to explain the game of hangman to her. Once the rules are clear the T asks each team to practice a few words, they can either use the game cards or the links on the “recursos” column. After a few minutes the T stops the activity and explains the Ss that now they will play against the other teams. T gives some flashcards to every team, then a member of team one passes to the board and paints the lines for the letters and the Hangman. The Ss from team 2 start saying letters. Play the game after each team finishes the flashcards given to them. Be sure to divide the cards evenly and with the same level of difficulty. It is better if the T uses the cards from the previous classes to reinforce the vocabulary. |
