Inicio 00:05 Say hello with your regular routine.

Desarrollo 00:40 Refer back to the Mouse story. Have Ss draw pictures to illustrate the story. Their drawings must be done in half letter size construction paper. These drawings have to illustrate the time in which the story happens; the setting, beginning, middle and end of the story. They can also illustrate their favorite part of the story. Divide the group in teams and have them draw one aspect of the story per team or all of them. There must be a minimum of three cards per team. 25’ Play the story again, this time have Ss listen and repeat. This is a great opportunity for you to review pronunciation and review as well all new vocabulary. 5’ Brainstorming: Ask Ss what kind of character they would create if they had a chance. Listen to their ideas and write them on the board. Tell Ss they’ll continue with the idea during the next session. 10’ Realistic Fiction Graphic organizer

Inicio 00:05 Say hello with your regular routine. Remind Ss of the characters they talked about last session.

Desarrollo 00:40 Present Ss with the Realistic Fiction Graphic organizer. T, it contains 10 pgs to work with, 12 total. Pages 7 and 8 are to draw secondary characters such as friends and family. You know your group, you decide if you hand out both or only one of those pages. Pages 2, 3 and 4 are to describe the character; to work with the use of adjectives and vocabulary in general. Page 5, negative sentences; give a reason e.g. : He/she doesn’t like to go in the basement because he/she is afraid of mice. Page 6; sentences in present, review word order, subject verb agreement. Page 9, realistic problems (for the character). The page motivates Ss to think on their own experiences to be able to write about their characters situation. Page 10, think and draw about problems. The page asks for four problems, I suggest you do only two. This is where Ss can practice the use of Modals. Page 11; Plan your story. Here is an opportunity for Ss to talk about the beginning middle and end of their stories. Please keep in mind Ss work individually but you may allow them to converse about their work in pairs and / or in teams with a larger number of members. Pair or team work will allow them the opportunity to practice their conversational skills as well. There is no specific time for each one of the steps to fill in the pages of this organizer since only you know the skills and abilities of your Ss. T, make sure all pages have the Ss names on them. Have them color all the pages. Add at the end of the organizer a blank page for Ss to write their story. Realistic Fiction Graphic organizer
