Desarrollo | 00:40 | T, there is a link in the “recursos” column to Grammarpolis which is a place where Ss can go for quick explanations of nouns, adjectives, pronouns and adverbs. Remember there have been exercises about indefinite articles in previous sessions. There is a link to a worksheet on articles in the “recursos” column. T, visit the site and click on the tabs on top to choose the subject to study. I suggest you start with nouns and follow with adjectives. This is a reading activity. Should not take more than 20’ to read and clarify any questions. After Ss have read the whole explanation about nouns and then adjectives; have them give you examples of nouns and their use. The way to go about it is the following: Divide the group in two teams and have Ss go to the back of the room. T, write noun and adjectives of any kind on pieces of papers. Have Ss take one, open the paper and look at the word. Ss form two lines and have to run one by one to the front of the classroom, write a sentence using a noun or an adjective and go to the back of the line. The team who finishes first wins!!! 15’ Give Ss the worksheet to practice articles as a second exercise. 5’ |

Desarrollo | 00:40 | Today’s session starts with a Q&A review and examples session from the PP presentation about definite and indefinite articles presented during the last session. 10’ Bridge from the legend of Chocolate. Remind Ss about the legend and point at the fact that everything happened in the past. Present past tense worksheet. Give Ss the Past simple tense worksheet. Link in the “recursos” column. 10’ Prepare Ss for a listening exercise by asking if they like learning a second (or third if that is the case) language. Write the question on the board. Do you like learning a second language? Use different color markers to highlight upper and lower case letters and question marks. Play the story the first time for Ss to get familiarized with it. 1’ Do not make any comments about it. Play it again. Link in the “recursos” column. Ask Ss to tell you what they got from the story. The whole group responds. 10’ T, have a copy of the story ready to give to each one of the Ss. NOTE: Please make sure you correct any missing and / or misspelled words presented on the page from the story museum, unfortunately the text presented here does not match the spoken part narrating the story, if you consider it appropriate do not use the text and write the text from the story yourself. Give the text of the story to the Ss after the second listening and comments. Using different color pencils, ask Ss to circle all articles, underline adjectives; pronouns, adverbs and nouns.
