Inicio 00:05 Say hello with your regular routine. Remind Ss of the table with Modals from last session.

Desarrollo 00:40 Go over the use of Modals + rules about subject + verbs. 10’ Divide the group in teams. From the Asking for help in the “recursos” column; use pg. 2 for the next activity. There are 5 sentences on the page. Copy the sentences on the board. Have written with a marker or printed ready on construction paper the words listed below, one word per half page. • Can (2 pages) Do (2 pages) • Lend • To lend • Help • To help • Use • To use Keep them inside a box. Teams choose a S to go and pick one card from the box and place it in the corresponding sentence. If your group is too large as to have teams of four, write your original sentences and follow the same process as to add to the number of sentences written on the board. 10’ There are three mini dialogues on page one. Project the pg on the wall/ screen for Ss to see or; write dialogues on the board (this as last resort since it will take time from your lesson) or give copies to your Ss with the dialogues on them. Have two different Ss read each dialogue. Cut the lines from each one of the dialogues on the page. Fold and place on your desk. Do this as many times as necessary for each S in your class to have a line from the dialogues. Have Ss go to your desk to take one piece or paper each. When all Ss have one piece of paper; have them open them and look for the other Ss who have the rest of the dialogue. The Ss with the first finished dialogue wins! 10’ Print the lyrics from the song Wow Wow Wubbzy: "Ask for help". Link in the “recursos” column. Give one to each one of the Ss. Play the video of the song, it’ll last 1.5’ Play the first time, Ss listen only. Read the lyrics with the Ss after listening to the song the first time. Clarify the contractions on the sentence: And, when your shoe needs a tyin’, don’tya go a cryin Have Ss notice the Modal verbs on the page. Play a second time, Ss read and sing. 10’ Wow Wow Wubbzy: "Ask For Help" Music Video
