Desarrollo | 00:35 | Tell the Ss to imagine that they are going to organize a school fair before the end of the school year. Ask the Ss what activities or stalls are there in a school fair (explain that a school fair is like a kermés in Mexico). Have Ss brainstorm a list of ideas. Write them on the board. For more ideas, you can project the page “Better fundraising ideas” on the screen (the link is in the “recursos section). T helps the Ss with the vocabulary for the names of the stalls. Divide them into: Games: bottles and loops, glasses and balls, bingo, sack race, etc. Food: Tacos, ice creams, hot cakes and crèpes, doughnuts, chilaquiles, quesadillas, hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages, etc. Shops: toy shop, candy shop, t-shirt shop, cap shop, etc. T divides the group into teams of 2-3 Ss and asks them to choose one of the options from the board. Once every team has a stall chosen, tell them to make a list in their notebooks of all the things they will be offering. Each team will design a flyer to advertise their stall. Discuss with the Ss what information they need to put on their flyer. 3. Give color pencils to the Ss and a bunch of sheets of paper to each team. Ask them to make different drafts of their flyers, making sure that they include all the elements they need. Walk around and help the Ss if they need it. Each team makes the final version of their flyer. |

Give each team a flipchart (papel rotafolio) and crayons, color markers, color pencils. Tell the Ss that now they have to make the final version of their poster. When all the groups have finished, the whole class votes to choose the best poster. Give the winners a simple prize like a chocolate bar and give all the Ss a lollypop or a candy. |
