Desarrollo 00:35 Tell Ss that they are going to be learning about adjectives. Explain that they will not be given the definition for adjectives, but they will have to determine their own meaning of adjectives from an activity. Give each S a bag with a varitey of objects. Choose a S to come up to the front of the room. Have that S put her/his hand into the bag and describe what she/he feels. Let the rest of the class try to guess what the object is in the bag from the clues given by the S describing the object. Label the bags on the board and list the adjectives that were used to describe each object. Continue this activity until all unknown items have been identified.

Cierre 00:05 After the activity is complete, ask Ss to give their own definition of what an adjective might be. Help Ss come up with a working definition for adjectives. Say goodbye to the Ss.

Evaluación T checks if Ss are able to use adjectives correctly. • T reviews Ss’s skills to describe objects. • T checks Ss skills to talk in English lenguage.

Desarrollo 00:25 Once Ss have a clear understanding of adjectives go to the media classroom and allow them to practice identifying the correct adjectives on the website “Adjectives - a Fun Way for Kids to Learn about Adjectives”. They will work in pairs and will have to identify the correct adjectives for each sentence. 3. After Ss have time to practice identifying adjectives on the website, have them write a very brief and simple story using at least 10 adjectives. They can do it using a word processing software like Words or writing it by hand in their notebooks After Ss have completed their stories, allow them time to share their texts with the class. Inicio 00:10 Say hello to the Ss. Tell them that today they will be discussing the four types of sentences. Ask them: Does anyone know what four types of sentences there are? After giving Ss time to think about this, tell Ss that they will now watch a video that is a song and an explanation for each type of sentence. Project the video “Four Kinds of Sentences Song” on a screen or whiteboard. At the end, ask if there is any question and clarify any doubt. Four kinds of sentences song

Desarrollo 00:30 Discuss with the whole class that declarative means a statement, interrogative means a question, exclamatory means a sentence with powerful meaning or emotion and imperative means a command. Write an example of each kind on the board: • You are a third grade student. (Declarative-Statement) • Can you play football? (Interrogative - Question) • What a beautifull day! (Exclamatory) • Open your books. (Imperative) 2. Tell the Ss that now they will practice it in the media classroom. They will work in pairs (one computer for each pair). They enter to the link “Type of sentences”. Explain the directions and allow them to play. Ask them to play two times. After the first game (when they finish building the first clubhouse), the Ss interchange roles in front of the computer. 3. When Ss have completed the assignment they will then write a very simple text using all four of the types of sentences. Give them time to work on their texts and help them if needed.
