Inicio 00:05 Say hello to the Ss. Tell them that today they will be working on adverbs. Show the "Adverb Song" video to the students on individual computers or project it onto a screen or whiteboard. Replay the video and have the students sing along.

Desarrollo 00:40 Explain that an adverb gives more information about a word and changes it slightly. Tell the students that an adverb can modify a verb, adjective or other adverb. Write each of the following sentences on the board. Read each one aloud and underline the adverbs. Tell the students which word the adverb is modifying and in what way. Then ask the students to think of other words like the adverb in the sentence. • He ran quickly to the park. Explain that quickly tells how he ran and that many adverbs explain how something happened. Ask for examples of other adverbs. • I came to school yesterday.” Explain that yesterday tells when and ask for examples. • We can play inside.” Explain that inside tells where and ask for examples. • That was very nice of you. Explain that very tells how much and ask for examples. Summarize by going over the four categories of adverbs: how, when, where, and how much. 3. In the media classroom, have the Ss work in pairs to solve the activity "Choose the correct adverb" (the link is in the "recursos" section) and share their ideas with the class. Walk from group to group overhearing discussions and help them if they ask for help (help them mainly with the vocabulary).

It teaches students what to do in the event of an earthquake. Ask them to read it and look at the pictures and tell what they understand. Ask them if they knew that they should remain in a crawling position to protect their vital organs and be ready to move if needed, and cover their head and neck with their hands and arms. Ask them how the poster teaches that. 3. In the media classroom, have the Ss work in pairs to play "Beat the Quake" game (the link is in the "recursos" section).
