T, today we are going to listen to a song. Link in the “recursos” column. The song lasts one minute; as you work with more fruits than the ones presented in the song, take the rest of the fruits and sing using the same tune. Sing the song two or three times. 10’ Present more fruits by showing a video. The video last about 2’. Link in the “recursos” column. Use this video as a listen and repeat activity. 5’ Write the names of the new fruits on the board and have Ss copy and write. 5’ Make sure to write the names of the fruits at a level where Ss can reach them on the board. Our next activity is the following: Have Ss form two lines. Describe one of the fruits to the Ss. When Ss know what fruit you are talking about, Ss run to the board and erase the corresponding word that matches the name of the fruit. Ss go back to the end of line. The line who finishes first wins. 10’ T, have Ss color and solve a worksheet. Link in the “recursos” column. 10’ Ss need to leave this and all their worksheets in the classroom.

Start by singing the fruit song and add as many fruit names as possible. 5’ T, have ready a couple of sets of memory game cards printed on board paper. Divide the group in teams and have them work with the sets. 10’ When the game time is over then challenge the Ss to a word game to beat the teacher! The game goes as follows; Teams work together. Teacher shows a card and IF Ss know the name of the fruit they need to select one person from the team and go to the board and write it. If Ss don’t know how to write the name of the fruit the T wins. 10’ T, ask Ss to write a few sentences about their favorite fruit. To help them you can present the following questions: What is your favorite fruit? What color is it? Does it smell good? Can you make juice with it? Where do you buy it? How many times a week do you eat it? Model the sentences for Ss and write questions and sentences on the board e.g. My favorite fruit is banana. Bananas are yellow fruits. Bananas smell very good but you cannot make juice with them. You can buy bananas in the market. I eat one banana everyday! Explain Ss don’t have to write the questions but give you statements about their favorite fruit. Give Ss 15’. Remind Ss they need to leave their paper in the classroom. They need to write their name on the paper.

Tell Ss today we are going to talk about vegetables. Start with a song. It last about 2’. Repeat a couple of times. 5’ Present vegetables flashcards.5’ Write the name of the vegetables on the board. Be careful not to write the manes of vegetables too high. 5’ to 7’ depending on how many words you write. Use the same tune from the song to work with more words. Have Ss sing the song. 10’ Have Ss work in teams. Using play dough have them make a medium size ball for each team.5’ T, shows a flash card and the team who guesses the name of the vegetable has a chance to through the ball to the word that represents the vegetable written on the board.10’
