T let Ss know today you’ll talk about the six basic rules to follow in the classroom. 3. Eliciting. T, write questions on the board to present to Ss with the grammatical structure using different color markers for upper and lower case letters as well as circling question words. 4. T asks Ss, what are the six classroom rules? And; why do you think rules are important? T asks Ss to talk about it while working in pairs. Ss respond to T and the whole class.15’. 5. While taking turns to speak Ss let T, and the rest of the class know what their thoughts are about the rules. 5’. Drill. 6. T, leads students to the conclusion that THE RULES OF THE CLASSROOM MAKE US SAFE AND HAPPY. 7. T, ask Ss to repeat that a couple of times then present the class with the video (3’) this should not be more than 10’. 8. T, ask Ss to read -this will be possible or not depending on the level of your group, so please feel free to change this part of the exercise to suit the needs of your class- the six rules presented on the video. Then ask Ss to sing with the video by repeating the choir and clapping their hands. Drill. 10’. 9. The rules of the classroom. |

And; What other rules are important? T, present this structure to Ss using different color markers for upper and lower case letters as well as circling question words/ auxiliary. 4. Ss respond to T and the whole class. 5. T asks Ss to write a list of new rules while working in pairs/teams. 15’. 6. While taking turns to speak Ss let T, and the rest of the class know what their thoughts are about the rules. 5’. 7. All the teams compare their lists. T then presents the class with the video again. Then ask Ss to sing with the video by repeating the choir: "The rules of the classroom make us safe and happy". 3’. 8. T, ask students to compare their lists with the rules on the video. 7’. |

Desarrollo | 00:00 | Drill. 2. T, Ss clap and sing "THE RULES OF THE CLASSROOM" choir as you play the video. Play it one time only. 3’. 3. Lead in activity. T has previously prepared flashcards with drawings of the old and new additional rules for your classroom/school based on what the class discussed last session. Two sets are recommended depending on the size of your group. 4. Using different color markers as done in other sessions, T writes the old and new rules on the board and gives flashcards to the students. 5. This can be a team activity if working with a large group so one or two cards per team or one per student. 6. When T points at a rule on the board Ss hole the corresponding card up to show to the T and the rest of the class. If done right they get a point. Team/S with more points wins. 10’. 7. T, show Ss the video game to practice the alphabet. Play only the first game. Challenge #1. 3’. 8. T erases some of the words from the board and now Ss have to complete the full sentence filling in the blank spaces with the correct word (s). 10’. 9. If done right they get a point. Team/S with more points wins. Challenge #2. 10. T points at one of the rules written on the board and chooses a word for Ss to spell. If done right they get a point. Team/S with more points wins. 11. S/team chooses one rule to illustrate with a drawing. 14’. |
